- Born in St.Louis, and raised on the Northside area, Ronn II is a 36-year-old writer and filmmaker currently living in University City, USA. Coming of age in the midst of the modern American metropolis, urban storytelling became an integral part of his life at an early age. Anchored by an upbringing that was heavily influenced by the black intellectual movements of the 20th century, he has had a jobs that has included everything from working at Footlocker, to flipping burgers, to teaching youth as a gang avoidance counselor, to waiting tables, to graduating from Lincoln University, to mopping floors. With these varied life experiences, Ronn II has consequently developed a breadth of perspective and an expansive vision to inspire his work. He is now using his diverse background and writing talents to inform and inspire his lifelong passion… filmmaking. Concentrating most of his efforts on directing/producing short films and developing feature scripts, he is currently pursuing his Masters of Film Appreciation at the UMSL Graduate Film Program.
