Greetings of Peace and Blessings,
Dear Sis, I write you with the intent of making a friend in the struggle for our young brother's and sister's minds. I am a community worker in Abilene, Texas who is striving to become a force to be reckoned with. I am actively working to organize my community and the few who have thus far aligned themselves with me. We have initiated early version of a rites of passage program called Da'Ciper. We meet on Mon. evenings and we use Hip Hop and Spoken word Poetry to connect with the youth. We have been involved in this work since last summer and we are working toward making this a group that is in demand from the elders in the community who have children. We would like any guidance and cooperation to this end that can be extended to us. Hotep
